When I was a child, we very often went on the “All Inclusive” package with my parents. It must be said that this is a very practical option as it provides you with accommodation and all meals.
In terms of activities, All Inclusive accommodation often offers a wide range of activities and often even excursions. You can also choose to rent a car and explore the destination on your own. Just because you’re staying at an All Inclusive hotel doesn’t mean you have to stay at the pool all day!
The All Inclusive aspect also allows you to enjoy a last minute stay : no need to spend hours preparing for the trip!
Among the best destinations to visit in the All Inclusive formula, I recommend it destination of the Canary Islands is located along the coast of Morocco. I rarely travel on the All Inclusive formula, I prefer to organize trips. But last year I left Fuerteventura in the All Inclusive formula to do a cycling course. The advantage of an all-inclusive hotel is that there is nothing to do. You can enjoy the day and put your feet under the table when you get home or spread your toes by the pool to relax after a great day of cycling.
In this article, I invite you to discover two all-inclusive addresses for a stay on the island of Fuerteventura.
in which I stayed during my trip to Fuerteventura.

2 addresses for All-Inclusive stay in Fuerteventura

Hotel Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar
First of all, here are my “favorite” addresses: Hotel Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar 4 stars ideally located in the center of the island in Caleta de Fuste. The hotel is located not far from the airport. The facility is excellent, in an ideal location by the sea. So you have a choice between swimming in hotel pools or in the sea.
It is an ideal choice whether you are a couple or a family to enjoy Fuerteventura.

The rooms are huge and very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel!
The buffet meals offer a wide variety and are really tasty.

While I was cycling, I didn’t use much of the entertainment at the hotel, but the property offers many activities (including plenty of things for kids) that are included in the price of the stay.

Hotel Occidental Jandia Playa
During my stay in Fuerteventura, I stayed at another hotel on the southern end of the island.
Hotel Occidental Jandia Playa is located high up on top so you can enjoy a very nice view, but you will have to walk a bit longer to the beach (and above all you will have to go up a very steep hill to get back to the hotel).
The place is very nice if you are looking for a place to stay in the south of Fuerteventura, but it is still a little more “outdated” than the hotel presented above and could do with a little renovation. Despite everything, the rooms were clean and comfortable, from that point of view there is nothing to complain about.
As for the meals, nothing to complain about, the buffets were very generous with a lot of choice.

My room had a large terrace and deckchairs. It was a very nice place to hang out.
If you don’t want to go down to the beach to swim, the hotel has numerous heated pools.

I really enjoyed the scenery of the beach below the hotel.

What to do, what to see in Fuerteventura?
The island of Fuerteventura is a particularly dry sandy island. The landscapes are quite desert and very different from those of other Canary Islands such as Tenerife or Lanzarote. Of course, it’s better to love the beach!
Fuerteventura is not only an island of relaxation, but also attracts sports enthusiasts such as sailing and kite surfing who can take advantage of the large beaches and wind for fun.
Discover Fuerteventura by bike
For my part, the theme of my trip to Fuerteventura was cycling. The island is part of Spain and like everywhere in this country is a paradise for cyclists. Spanish drivers are especially careful when sharing the road and especially when traveling. It’s pretty amazing!
The roads of Fuerteventura are very nice for cycling, there is generally quite little traffic. The “negative” point is the wind, which can blow quite strongly in the region.

Dunes of Corralejo Natural Park
One of the most impressive places in Fuerteventura and the one I enjoyed the most is Corralejo Natural Park is located on the northern part of the island. This is the largest dune field in the Canary Islands. It feels like you’re in the Sahara, except maybe the ocean right next door!

Mountains of Betancuria Rural Park
The island of Fuerteventura is far from flat: in the middle of the island it stands mountain Betancuria Rural Park. This is perhaps one of the most interesting places if you are looking for hiking, but keep in mind that the island is very deserted everywhere. Personally, it lacks a bit of vegetation for my taste. On the other hand, cycling is great because you can fully enjoy the scenery!
Whether you’re on foot, by bike or by car, don’t hesitate to go into the surroundings and enjoy the scenery offered by the many viewpoints. The one with the huge statues of Guise and Ayuse and one of the most impressive.

Don’t hesitate to stop by the village of Betancuria in the heart of these mountains. I cycled through it quickly without taking any photos, but it is one of the most beautiful villages on the island of Fuerteventura. Far from the sea and tourist areas, its traditional architecture has been preserved and it is a real gem.

Enjoy the beaches of Fuerteventura
as i said above, Fuerteventura is a beach destination. The island offers numerous sandy beaches, each more beautiful than the last. The water there is turquoise. It really is paradise!
Considering the size of the island, many of these beaches are deserted. It really is a paradise to enjoy the sun all year round and the activities of swimming or sailing.
